The life of a coder gets you to the most remarkable places. Last year I was with a fishing boat to the Barents Sea and Bering Island doing code work on the project I’m currently working on.

Now as I’m writing this I am on a research vessel in the Barents Sea, just next to the ice barrier up here in the arctic winter.

I’m still working on the same project – and it is still some kind of adventure. I never thought that I would be sitting holding on to anything I could while I was coding. Rough seas and wind at strong gale and storm force has made this an interesting week – and there is still more than one week to go before I have solid ground under my feet again.

Here is a screenshot of part of the project.
